Tuesday May 8, 2007
Richard came back today from his extended weekend. We started the day off by setting the tire pressures to 35 psi's and set it up for alignment. After that I took the summer tires out from the trunk of a customer's truck. I then took off the wheels, but later on in the day I needed to put them back on so the tune-up guy could take it for a test drive to give an estimate on how much it would cost the owner to get the rear end rebuilt. ONce this truck left, Richard showed me how to do a tire repair. It is fairly easy and I can see myself doing lots of these in the future. After this, another customer's car was brought in and the tire had a leak in it. We took the tire off and we determined that the tire could not be repaired. Later, an employee's vehicle had been brought in with the owner complaining af a rattle, after a road test we could not here the rattle. But after we lifted the car up and did some tests, we could hear the noise. BUt before we had time to figure out the source of the noise, I had to go put some wheels back onto a truck, and then it was time to leave. Hopefully tomorow I can find out where the noise was coming from.
