April 30- May 4 2007
Since starting co-op, I feel different about myself. I am alot more confident when working around cars and especially with the tools. I also feel alot more independant since I am given more independance at co-op than I did at school in auto class. I've learned alot about myself from co-op. I realized I used to be very reluctant to try new things, but now I do new things almost everyday at co-op and it is a very good learning experience for me. I've learned that my supervisor has a lot of responsibility. He has the resposibility to make the company money, to get vehicles in and out of the shop as quick as possible all while ensuring that the customer is satisfied. I've learned alot about working with others. I learned that since other people's work habits may differ from mine does not mean that they are wrong. I should always listen to what others have to say. Now I am more comfortable with everything. I am more comfortable in the enitre work environment, but especially with the tools. To show initiative at my workplace, you have to do things before someone tells you to do them. What I remember most about this week is when I did the endlink replacement on my own on the Mustang, I am very proud that I did that without any assistance.
